So in trying to clear out my apartment, I've been more or less curbing everything, but I just can't bring myself to do that with my framed Yankee Stadium painting that I made right before the final season in the old stadium. The idea of my favorite place's likeness sitting in the lonely oblivion of bulk pick-up is not a very attractive option.
Then I thought I'd just sell it, but for someone who's categorically averse to profiting off something I don't plan on using anyway, this doesn't sit well either.
A few weeks ago, one of my closest friends' little sister passed away after bravely battling kidney cancer for 8 months. My friend has not only been like a brother to me for the past 6 years, but he's essentially been a hero and rock for my own sister.
His family has created a tribute site on the American Cancer Society page to further her memory to help ensure no other families have to endure a similar tragedy.
If anyone's interested in buying it, please let me know. Anything will go to the American Cancer Society in Genny's name.
"Genny will always be remembered for her bubbly personality, her infectious smile, and her unwavering compassion for others. She was truly a beautiful person inside and out."
